Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) file number displayed on a Veteran Card, with the card expiry date made explicit.

AU Base AUDVANumber inherits Identifier.period from the base Identifier datatype without further definition, so the expiry date of the Veteran Card carries only the generic period description. This profile mirrors the treatment AUMedicareCardNumber gives the Medicare card expiry, naming period.end as the Veteran Card expiry date so implementers can populate and interpret it unambiguously.

No cardinality is changed — period and period.end were already permitted. This profile only makes their meaning explicit.
